The FrSky Variometer sensor calculates altitude from atmospheric pressure. As the altitude increases, the atmospheric pressure will decrease, using this the sensor will calculate the altitude. A complete imaging cannot be performed if atmospheric pressure changes in weather conditions. The variometer sensor can also output the Altitude Ratio through the DA port. Height Ratio formula: (Output DC Voltage -1.65) /1.65= Altitude Ratio velocity / 10.24.
Can be connected directly to telemetry receivers without a sensor hub.
Backward compatibility with existing sensor hub and sensors, also compatible with next generation Smart Port enabled sensors.
