Survey3 is the simplest to use and best of the Mapir series. Each Survey3 camera includes an external USB GPS receiver to automatically geotag every captured image. Its 12MP sensor and sharp non-fisheye lens allow you to capture aerial media with ease. It takes photos on the default timer trigger or a PWM signal can be sent from the HDMI port. If you supply power to the USB port, it will turn on the camera automatically. Sized similarly to a GoPro® Hero, you can attach these small Survey cameras to your drone using our various connectors.

This Red + Green + NIR (RGN, NDVI) model sees Near Infrared 850nm, Red 660nm and Green 550nm light. Images from this camera are usually calibrated to an index image and then a colored lute is applied to show the contrast between healthy and poor health vegetation.

Survey3 cameras have a faster timer: 1.5 seconds for JPG mode and 2.75 seconds for RAW + JPG mode. (The capture speed depends on the speed of the microSD card used). You can also trigger the photo capture using a PWM signal from the HDMI port (see trigger information below). PWM can also be used to connect the camera's memory card to a computer connected via USB.
