WHY SHOULD I GET A UAV LICENSE?
- If you will only use your UAV indoors,
- If you are going to fly with a UAV with a maximum take-off weight of less than 500 grams, you do not need any license.
You can only use your UAV with a maximum take-off weight of less than 500 grams in green areas and indoor areas.
If the weight of the UAV you will use is 500 g or more and you are going to use it for sports or hobby purposes, you must have a UAV0/1 Sporty/Amateur Pilot License. There is no educational requirement for this license. You can obtain this license from the website of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation , provided that you get at least 70 from the 20-question test exam. You cannot perform your İHA0/1 Sporting/Amateur and individual purpose flights at places and times prohibited by the highest local administrative authority. In free (Green) zones, the flight permit is granted automatically by the Registration System from the Head Office.

How Many Types of UAV Licenses Are There?

If the weight of the UAV you will use is 500 g or more and you are going to use it for sports or hobby purposes, you must have a UAV0/1 Sporty/Amateur Pilot License. There is no educational requirement for this license. You can obtain this license from the website of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation , provided that you get at least 70 from the 20-question test exam. With this license, you can only fly UAVs for sport/amateur or hobby purposes.

If the weight of the UAV you will use is 500 g or more, and if you are going to use it for commercial purposes, you must have a UAV0/1 Commercial Pilot License. There is an educational requirement for this license. You can get your training from the training institutions authorized by SHGM.
UAV-0 Commercial Pilot License Authorizes UAVs with a maximum take-off weight between 500 gr and 4 kg.
UAV-1 Commercial Pilot License Authorizes UAVs with a maximum take-off weight of 500 gr between 4 kg and 25 kg.
A flight permit is requested from the official website of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation at least 5 working days in advance for all kinds of flights to be made in regions subject to permission.
For all kinds of flights to be made in regions subject to special permission, a flight permit is requested from the official website of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation with its justification, at least 10 working days in advance.
With this license, you can legally fly all kinds of flights in the sector you are in.
WHAT ARE THE CONDITIONS FOR TAKING THE UAV0/1 COMMERCIAL PILOT TRAINING? WHAT DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED?
UAV-0 class pilots must be at least 12 years old and UAV-1 class pilots must be at least 15 years old.
Required documents;
- Copy of identity card
- 3 photos
- Criminal record document
- Residence document (via E-Government)
- Health report with the phrase "Can Be a Class B Driver" (From family physicians)
- A notarized and certified undertaking by their legal representatives that they accept the legal and criminal responsibilities that may arise in the future for those under the age of 18.
WHAT IS THE SCOPE OF THE UAV0/1 COMMERCIAL PILOT TRAINING AND HOW MANY DAYS DOES IT TAKE?
UAV-0 Commercial Pilot Training Authorizes UAVs with a maximum take-off weight between 500 gr and 4 kg. The training period consists of 12 hours and lasts 2 days.
UAV-1 Commercial Pilot License Authorizes UAVs with a maximum take-off weight of 500 gr between 4 kg and 25 kg. The training period consists of 36 hours and lasts 4 days.
Our trainings consist of theoretical and practical training. Theoretical training and flight training are carried out in line with the SHGM's SHT-UAV regulations.
Training is done face to face.

Our training takes place face to face. There must be a demand for at least 10 persons within the province of Istanbul, and a demand for at least 15 persons for each province outside the province of Istanbul. CAN I UPGRADE MY UAV-0 LICENSE TO UAV-1?

ARE THERE PENALTY SANCTIONS FOR FLIGHTING WITHOUT PERMISSION?
For operations that require permission from the General Directorate, in cases where UAV flights are carried out without obtaining permission and operations are carried out outside the airspaces determined by the authorizations, the penalty provisions in the 5th part of the Law No. 2920 are applied to the relevant person and enterprise. CAN I USE THE DRONE I Bought FOR HOBBY FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES?
You can use it. You must change the type of UAV you registered for hobby purposes from the system to Commercial and you must have a UAV0/1 Commercial Pilot License.
